Becoming a Garritano Bookkeeper

As a Garritano Bookkeeper, you will be part of a team that helps our clients grow with confidence. This means maintaining accurate and complete records for our clients and transforming transactional chaos into clear information. Your Role:

  • Manage multiple clients’ full-cycle bookkeeping, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing for clients.
  • Process and reconcile bank and credit card statements for clients.
  • Communicate with clients regarding their bookkeeping needs and financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements & reports for clients.
  • Assist clients with budgeting and cash flow management.
  • Prepare and file sales tax and payroll tax returns for clients.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and promptly address any inquiries or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all financial transactions and client communication.
  • Support our accounting staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with multiple clients and managing deadlines.

Bonus Points:

  • Enjoy learning new about new technologies and software.
  • Experience in financial analytics and/or financial modeling.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or Power BI.
  • Experienced with Lacerte Tax software.
