Becoming a Garritano Senior Accountant

As a Garritano Senior Accountant, you will be part of a team that helps our clients grow with confidence. Your Role:

• Manage and review the work of fellow team members, including reviewing financial statements, preparing tax returns, and other back-office support services.
• Prepare complex financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, & corporations.
• Provide guidance to clients and team on accounting, tax, and business matters.
• Research and analyze accounting, tax, and business issues.
• Maintain client relationships and communicate all correspondence with your team.
• Participate in the development and implementation of firm policies and procedures.
• Assist with training and mentoring of junior staff and bookkeepers.
• Work collaboratively with other members of your team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of experience working in a public accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience preparing financial statements & tax returns for individuals, partnerships, & corporations.
• Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
• Commitment to quality and professionalism.
• Desire to continually learn and improve.

Bonus Points:

• CPA or working towards CPA certification.
• Experience in financial analytics and/or financial modeling
• Advanced in Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or Power BI.
• Experienced with Lacerte Tax software.
