About Vinny

Vincent Garritano, CPA is the Operations Manager and lead Problem Solver at Garritano CPAs, CFOs located in Islandia, New York. He is a second-generation certified public accountant raised in a culture of foresight and professionalism. Vincent has utilized his experience and expertise in tax, business consulting, and technology to pursue his passion for empowering individuals and businesses to reach their own flavor of success.

Vincent built his acumen on his innate communications and customer service skills. Prior to joining the Garritano team, he managed check-in and guest relations at a local Marriott hotel. Early on in his career, he also served as the Director of Operations for a local law practice where he gained experience in reviewing and interpreting contract language and advocating for his clients. When Vincent joined the family firm, he stepped into the lead marketing role and built the technological infrastructure that has allowed Garritano to provide high end services with a boutique firm feel.

What is your favorite part of your job?

The opportunity to be part of several different businesses in a variety of industries is definitely my favorite part of the job. Participating in problem-solving that goes well beyond your typical accounting firm is rewarding and fun.

What nugget of wisdom would you offer to aspiring professionals?

Always do your best and try hard to understand the perspective of a business owner. Understanding how to bring value to every business or organization you work with will serve you well wherever you go.

What is your most memorable GSGLLC moment?

When we had to upgrade to a paperless office environment I was in charge of the shredding. At the time I was only twelve years old. It was one of the first weekends of intense shredding and the bags were piled so high in the dumpster that I had to jump up and down in the dumpster to get them all to fit. It was a fun day!
